Accept Christ ?
Exodus 33 : 19

There is a general idea held by most of religion in the day in which we live. The idea is that people accept Jesus as Savior. This is the language of false, free will religion. The Word of God contains no such notion. Nowhere in Holy Writ is anyone told to or even requested to accept Jesus. On the contrary, everywhere in Scripture we find that it is man who needs acceptance from God, and it is God's sovereign prerogative to accept or reject man. (Exodus 33:19).
Where did such a blatantly false notion originate? It came into existence in the Garden of Eden when Adam bought the Serpent's lie, "ye shall be as gods". It gives fallen men, especially religious fallen men, a real sense of deity to put God on hold. How it must boost the wretched ego to think that God waits for an affirmative vote from man in order to be gracious.
Though men would deny that this is how they think, their words betray their heart. If one is to accept Jesus, the acceptor must attribute sovereignty to himself. Then, the acceptor must be a judge of the worthiness of Jesus in order to deem Him acceptable. Then the acceptor must exercise his superior mental frame and decide to accept Jesus. Search the Scriptures, find one place, one thought of God that even suggests that worms of the dust have in such power. ACCEPTANCE BELONGS TO GOD ALONE! TJ
